Question: Input needed from people who have started their own online business & succeeded?

I have a small but growing online business (wholesale/retail). I have no friends or family that understand the joys and the strife of owning an at-home business. Everyone I know believes ONLY in working for someone else. I had to listen to everyone around me scoff at my dreams and tell me how ridiculous it was. It only made me more determined to succeed. Now since I’m making as much at home as I would at a job (since starting in April), those same people are interested in being “business partners” with me. I need to hear from people that have done the same thing and succeeded. Maybe a suggestion of a forum where I can go to talk to others like myself. I live in a small town, have narrow-minded people all around me and feel like I’m really out of my element. Would love to exchange emails with others like me. What’s YOUR success story?
