Work From Home Sales Careers

Question: Is becoming a real estate sales agent a smart career choice considering the currently distressed economy?
I thinking it is because people will always a need home. And the market might be bad now but it will improve, i mean, it’s always going to fluctuate. I also need a career that I can enter into quickly & it only requires 2 courses and a state licensing exam.
I would like some objective opinions from an outsider’s perspective. Any advice is welcome. By the way, I live in Westmoreland county, PA (in case that effects anyone’s advice). Thanks in advance!
Answer: You have it right, pass the principals, state exam, pay all the fees and you have your license. The market is going to go up and down. As for entering into the field quickly, you can do that but don't plan on making very much money too quickly. It does take time to get your clientele together. You have to keep beating the streets to get those clients. You'll probably need a second job to keep afloat or plan on having from 6-12 months of reserves on hand to keep you going. Hopefully within that time you have been able to set the pace as a "real go getter." Good Luck.
