Question: Why do Amway salespersons compare their business to Trump?
and the like. I just saw a post were they compared Amway Bill Gates? The name dropping sounds silly to me. To compare a inventor to a MLM? I don’t understand the link so if Gates can get rich then so can I selling Amway?
Answer: It's a really bad psychological tactic that hardly ever works (but does on the really stupid ones). Associating your brand/business with someone really famous tells the brain "Hey, look! They know Trump and are a business so they must know what they're doing!"
I laugh when I see things like "Do you want to look like Heidi Klum? The come join the gym to the starts!"
